BeachHack is the flagship event of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, a legacy event hosted by the Community Of Developers (CODe) from Christ College of Engineering, Irinjalakuda.

It is a national-level hackathon that dares to be different-held not in classrooms or auditoriums, but at a beach resort right beside the shoreline, where creativity flows as freely as the waves. Returning for another season of innovation, BeachHack 7 invites developers, designers, and entrepreneurs to collaborate, create, and conquer under the open sky. This isn’t just a coding competition; it’s a 36-hour celebration of technology, creativity, and community spirit.

This year, we are thrilled to present the 7th edition of Beach Hack, proudly celebrated as India’s one and only beachside hackathon.

We offer a prize pool of ₹2 lakhs, with two competitive tracks:

  • Hack4Christ – exclusively for students of Christ College of Engineering (₹50,000 prize pool)
  • Beach Hack – for participants from other colleges (₹1,00,000 prize pool)

Team Size: 4 Members

Selection: Abstract-based shortlisting

Event Structure - Hack4Christ

Exclusive for students of Christ College of Engineering.
Phase 1 ‐ Screening

  • Jan 1‐3: Screening for 2nd, 3rd & 4th year students
  • Jan 17‐19: Screening for 1st year students
    Top performing teams will be shortlisted for the hackathon.

Phase 2 ‐ Hackathon

  • Jan 30 ‐ Feb 1: Shortlisted teams will take part in a 36‐hour beachside coding marathon, building solutions under the stars.

Event Structure - Beach Hack

Exclusive for external participants of Beach Hack.
Phase 1 ‐ Screening

  • Jan 14‐16: Screening for external participants of Beach Hack.
    Top performing teams will be shortlisted for the hackathon.

Phase 2 ‐ Hackathon

  • Jan 30 ‐ Feb 1: Shortlisted teams will take part in a 36‐hour beachside coding marathon, building solutions under the stars.

Domains:

  • AI Pipelines & MLOps Orchestration
    The track focuses on the engineering layer behind AI - pipelines, automation, monitoring, reliability, and optimization. Participants are expected to deliver solutions that enhance the scalability, trustworthiness, and operational robustness of modern AI systems.
  • Web3 Infrastructure & On-Chain Forensics
    A deep dive into the structural and analytical components of blockchain ecosystems. This track emphasizes transparency, secure infrastructure development, cross-chain operability, and identity management in decentralized systems.
  • Cloud-Native & DevOps Intelligence
    Here we look for innovations that elevate cloud efficiency and system intelligence. From infrastructure observability to automated optimization, the focus is on systems that improve performance, reduce overhead, and strengthen cloud-native workflows.
  • Cybersecurity & Threat Intelligence
    The track expects participants to push the boundaries of digital security. Emphasis is on identifying vulnerabilities, strengthening security posture, analyzing threat patterns, and building systems capable of proactive protection.
  • Algorithmic FinTech & RegTech
    Centered around the data and compliance backbone of financial technology. Participants will work on intelligent systems that enhance regulatory accuracy, financial transparency, risk assessment, and backend financial automation.
  • Defense Tech & Situational Awareness
    Participants explore technologies that improve monitoring, decision-making, and secure communication in defense contexts. The focus is on awareness, precision, and reliability in mission-critical environments.
  • Industrial IoT & Predictive Maintenance
    The track spotlights innovations in connected industrial environments. You are expected to engineer systems that enhance operational intelligence, minimize downtime, and refine the interaction between machines, sensors, and data.
  • Health Data Systems & Bio-Informatics
    The focus here is responsible handling of complex medical data, intelligent diagnostic workflows, and secure bio-information processing. Participants are expected to elevate healthcare systems through accuracy, security, and computational insight.
  • Open Innovation
    Build any impactful solution by identifying a real-world problem of your choice. We value originality, strong problem-solution fit, technical depth, and real-world relevance over predefined themes. (Hack4Christ Exclusive)
